CHINANES.COM May 31, 2017 To strengthen the international educational exchange, and broaden the international vision for students and teachers in order to improve the level of their musical skills, Tom Stein, a senior professor at the Berkeley College of Music, came to Chongqing Institute of Humanities and Technology (CQHST) during May 23-29, 2017, and conduct a one-week academic exchange and communications in modern art education.

 

Firstly, Tom Stein gave a refreshing lecture on the way of guiding and training students in order to help them establish the right concept of music. After that, he personally demonstrated for students and explain what needs to be noticed for pop singer on stage.

At the art exchange party, Mr. Stein, together with students and teacher of the university jointly built up a Sino-US cultural bridge of communication via music. Mr. Stein said that he is so glad to be so closely in touch with Chinese traditional art music and touched by its charm. He recommended teachers and students of to integrate the traditional Chinese instrument with modern music so as to explore new ways and make a difference.
